As the season drew near, the Lunar Witch prepared for her favorite tradition: transforming the delicate moths that danced in the glow of her lanterns.
Each evening, she would carefully coax them from the light and cradle them in her hands, whispering words of magic and wonder. With each soft incantation, the moths shimmered and shifted, becoming ornaments as delicate as frost,
their wings like tiny stained-glass windows.

She hung these enchanted baubles from silken spider webs that crisscrossed her cottage ceiling, where they caught the glow of candlelight, casting gentle, iridescent hues across the room. Shadows mingled with light, and in every flicker,
the Lunar Witch saw her perfect world—a holiday decorated with
beauty both haunting and bright.
